This page is about the ibanez jem 77 bfp.

The ibanez jem 77 bfp, also known as the JEM77 bfp (Floral Pattern), is a JEM series guitar model and signature model of guitarist Steve Vai. Features include DiMarzio pickups, a double locking tremolo, fluorescent green vine fingerboard inlays and a special floral pattern finish.

The JEM77 FP was introduced in 1988, one year after the initial introduction of the JEM series. It was available in the US until 1999 but returned in 2003 as the 15th Anniversary JEM77FP. Outside the US it never was discontinued and remained in production from 1988 through 2004. With its 17 years of production, it was the longest running JEM model until it got surpassed by the JEM7V in 2009.

The JEM77 BFP was only the first floral pattern JEM, a second one was introduced in 1988 as the JEM77 BFP and a third one in 2010 as the JEM77 FP2.

For sale $2,500Greenville 29698, SC, United States – 1 week ago on craigslist.org

I bought my Floral jem77 bfp back in 2001. It is a 2000 model, made in Japan. jem77 bfp Pro pickups Lo Pro Edge Tremolo. Green Vine Inlays on Rosewood fretboard. Basswood, with cloth material modeled on Steve Vai’s mother’s curtains. Comes with jem77 bfp original uv case. Plays perfectly, no cracks, dings or dents. Straight neck, frets great.

I can take pictures of the back of the jem77 bfp  pickups for the the people interested in buying it.

If you’re not too familiar with setting up a Floyd Rose tremelo, I suggest you definitely take this guitar in to have a professional set up done. This type of bridge system is notorious for being very tempermental, and if not set up correctly could not only harm the guitar, but bring loads of unwanted frustration to your doorstep.

Thanks for your input.

I will have to take pictures to all these ibanez bfp parts individually to settle this.

Like I said, the ibanez bfp came out of the store the way you see it.

Why would I change the pickups and the knobs on a BRAND NEW guitar???

For the interested buyers, I have perfect e.B.a.y feedback as well.

The most likely scenario is that the store changed out the items on a new guitar (for whatever reason) and then you bought it. You have a very nice example, however it is not 100% original.

I just don’t understand why they would do that… the pickups of ibanez bfp are DiMarzio PAF Pros and the middle is the JEM single. Just for the sake of the color??

ibanez bfp wasn’t brand new, you just think it was.

There is and never was anything but pink pickups and knobs on any oirignal Floral, ever.

Maybe someone in the store raped her…

I will check pickup electronics soldering and see if it’s been altered or not. I will also take ibanez bfp  pictures. So if you’re interested in BUYING it shoot me an email.

Comes with a hard shell case for ibanez jem77bfp, but not the original pink font ibanez jem77bfp case which I never owned. I believe I am the second owner and I picked this up around 1994. It has been unplayed since then, and has sat in its case. Although it was a player before. Neck of ibanez jem77bfp is still straight and action is still low, but could use a setup.

The back of the ibanez jem77bfp pickups don’t mean a thing except the replaced the pink with the same in black. Somebody swapped everything out for a black-out look. It’s not original, it’s not mint, not with everything changed like that.

When you buy from me you’ll get free shipping anywhere in the USA, pay no sales tax if you’re outside of MA and I can get you 6 months 0% interest financing if you want it. I also include a free setup to your exact specs, I throw in 3 sets of your favorite strings and I GUARANTEE THE BEST PRICES AND SERVICE ANYWHERE!

Ibanez Jem Bfp for sale

Ibanez jem 77 floral for sale

Not too long ago, I was so lucky to get my hands  on a 1989 ibanez jem bfp (JEM77FP). You know, one of those Steve Vai signature ibanez jem bfp guitars from the late 80’s? I picked it up used, and ibanez jem bfp was in pretty shape aside from some nicks and scratches on the back. Pretty standard considering it’s pushing 22 years old. I was ecstatic when I first saw ibanez jem bfp, as Vai is my childhood guitar hero. He’s a big contributor to my having picked up the guitar in the first place. It’s an extremely versatile guitar, packing the Floyd Rose licensed versatile Lo Pro Edge tremelo alongside a 24 fret neck, of which the 21st through 24th are scalloped. The bolt on neck, a five piece maple and walnut with a rosewood fingerboard, has a vine inlay, and the body is American Basswood covered in it’s classic floral pattern, which is actually a cloth adorned with the pattern that has been clear-coated onto the body. Aside from that, it’s got locking tuners at the nut that keep ibanez jem bfp locked in tune despite going overboard with the whammy bar…you can pull up well over a fifth!

This is a cool Ibanez Jem from 1988 I think. I don’t know much about these but this one seems to be all original and in good shape. It has been set up and plays great. Only problem is that its missing the whammy bar. There is some light wear and bumps and bruises but overall its in nice shape. It comes with the original case.
